TLM Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work

The Level 3 Award for Emergency First Aid at Work is designed to support professionals in low-risk  workplaces in demonstrating their understanding in emergency first aid. Covering the knowledge needed to be a successful and productive first aider in Adult Casualties only.

The course prepares the candidate to assess incidents and respond accordingly.

 

Qualification

Unit 1 – Emergency First Aid at work (1 credit).

Course Content (inclusive but not limited to:)

  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of a First Aider             

  • Understand how to access an incident  

  • Be able to provide first aid to an unresponsive casualty 

  • Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally 

  • Be able to manage a casualty who is choking

  • Be able to manage a casualty with external bleeding

  • Be able to manage a casualty who is in shock

  • Be able to manage a casualty with minor injuries

Duration

Assessment methods will include Coursework, E-assessment, Portfolio of Evidence and will involve 8 Hours Guided Learning plus 2 hours home study.

Group Size

The group size will not exceed 8 candidates. (Courses will comply with current Covid-19 Government guidelines).
